Breckenridge Recreation Center
The Breckenridge Recreation Center offers two climbing walls, an indoor pool and slide, basketball, racquetball and tennis courts and more. All services are available with the purchase of a one-day pass or punch card. (Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.) See specialty programs below:

• Might Mite Climbing Wall
  If your kids are climbing the walls, bring them down to the Recreation Center for Mighty Mite Climbing. This program is for kids ages 4-6 years offering them a unique challenge, physical activity and great fun!

• Friday Night Climb n' Swim
  Every Friday night, kids ages 6-12 have a chance to explore the adventures of rock climbing and swimming. Climbing instruction mixed with an indoor pool and waterslide will be have your kids begging to come back!

Ice Skating
Kids of any age can enjoy the Stephen C. West Ice Arena located on Boreas Pass Rd. The ice arena offers an outdoor ice rink which is open for public skating seven days a week from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM (or later). Skate rental and instruction are available on-site. $6 for adults, $5 for kids, $3 to rent skates

MiniMites Hockey
Throughout the year, these daily hockey classes get kids under 6 years old out on the ice and having fun in skates.

Eric's Arcade
From Pinball to Ms Pac Man, Downstairs at Eric's Arcade provides a fun activity for older kids and is located right on Main Street.

Skatepark
If skateboarding is how you like to spend your time, check out the skatepark located outside of the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Boxes, bowls, spines and a ¼ pipe are just a few of the features you will find. The park is open from dawn to dusk and full pads are encouraged but not required.

Kidz Calliope Concerts

Join in this 10 week children's series each Tuesday at 2:00 PM or Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Riverwalk Center. Tickets are $5 per child or adult.  Season tickets are available for $45, or $145 for the Family 4 pass. From magic to music, juggling to dance, each show provides an event of fun at the Riverwalk Center.

Carter Park
Located at the south end of High Street, and adjacent to Breckenridge Elementary School, Carter Park is a favorite summer hangout of both locals and canines alike and features a playground, soccer/rugby field, tennis courts (2 lighted), picnic tables and a sand volleyball court.

Mountain Top Children's Museum
The Mountain Top Children's Museum offers children an opportunity to think outside the box and use their imaginations. "Where the Wild Things Are" is an example of interesting exhibits you'll find on your stroll through the museum. It's a perfect afternoon activity for learning and excitement for younger children.

• Museum Workshops
  Ages 2-5 are welcome to hourly workshops on fun topics such as Happy Camper and Teddy Bear Picnic. Available Tuesdays Wednesdays from June 15 - August 25, 2004
  
• Museum Summer Camps
  There are 13 weeks of camp all offering different themes from Spy Agency to Medieval Madness. Ages 5-10 are welcome for hands on experience and fun just on one day or for a whole week. Available daily from June 7 - September 3, 2004

Kinderhut is a licensed day care center that accommodates children 6 weeks - 6 years old. They provide an infant nursery, toddler nursery as well indoor/outdoor activities for the bigger kids. Located slopeside on Peak 9 in Beaver Run, hiking is just seconds away! Reservations are required.

Breckenridge Children's Centers
The Breckenridge Children's Centers entertain the youngest members of your family with fun-filled activities both inside and in the great outdoors. Our slopeside nurseries provide individualized care for your infant, toddler or pre-schooler under the watchful eyes of our trained staff. Reservations required.

Want to go workout but not sure what to do with the kids? Breckenridge Recreation Center offers "Bearly Big" childcare. While parents workout, professional childcare workers entertain the kids with numerous activities in a world-class facility. Childcare is provided for children ages 2mos - 6 years. Reservations are recommended.

Kid's Day Off
Kid's Day Off provides kids a fun alternative to their day. Activities include everything from gold mine tours to pottery painting. The program includes lunch, snacks, indoor/outdoor activities, swimming and supervision. Reservations are required. Full days and half days available.
