Breck150 Kick Off Party-
Location: Main Street Station Plaza from 3 - 6 pm
This party will celebrate the official kick off of the 150th Anniversary of the Town of Breckenridge and will focus on the "white gold" boom that brought Breckenridge back to life. It will include something for all generations from "gold nugget hunts" for the kids to live music and dancing with the Six Million Dollar Band to an "Anniversary Toast to the Town" with local legends. Food and beer sales will be provide by the Breckenridge Restaurant Association as a fundraiser for local youth athletes. The celebration continues into the evening With the Quantum Ski Club's "Retro Ski Bash" dinner at Beaver Run. Featuring specialty martinis and an array of appetizers, as well as a history of skiing." Jim Salestrom will be performing live at Beaver Run Resort's Copper Top Restaurant from 3pm to 6pm. His music crosses generational boundaries and is enjoyed by fans of all ages. Imperial Challenge-
The thirteenth annual Imperial Challenge warms up with a 6.2 mile mountain bike ride from the Town of Breckenridge across Peak 7 to Peak 8. Followed by a 2,500 foot, wind testing ascent of Peak 8 to the top of the Imperial Bowl on the equipment of your choice. As your quadriceps quiver from oxygen deprivation and lactic acid build up, begin your descent to the base of Peak 8 on skis or a snowboard. One of the long-standing spring skiing traditions in Breckenridge, the 30th annual Bump Buffet combines talent with spirit as telemarkers tackle the bumps dressed in zany costumes.
